I dedicate this web site to the memory of my cat "Pooder". He was my buddy for 14 great years
and I miss him dearly. If you would like to see his picture & my tribute to him, click here.
Piano Finder Service
The Piano Finder service that I provide is to help clients obtain
quality pre-owned pianos at low wholesale prices.
I am able to do this because of my connections with Steinway Rebuilders,
Importers & Wholesalers (some who don't normally sell to the public).
To see some pianos that I have found
for clients, click
here.
Or to read some referral letters, click here.
Being that I have high standards, I thoroughly inspect
each piano that I refer to ensure their excellent condition.
This gives my clients confidence that they have bought a quality instrument
and saves them a considerable amount of time searching for a piano.
I also write up profiles that include price comparisons on every piano.
If you would like to have your piano
restored, I work with the
best rebuilders/refinishers in Los Angeles. I can have your piano rebuilt
at a wholesale price, many times, saving you thousands.
To see some before & after photos of a restored Steinway B Grand, click here.
Thinking about
having a "PianoDisc" system (Player Piano)
installed in your piano? I can get it done at wholesale for you.

About Myself & My Training
My name is Garron R. Larcombe and I have been a Piano Tuner/Technician
for over 24 years. I formally learnt the trade at Ystrad Mynach college of music
in Wales and studied for 2 years (full time) tuning and rebuilding pianos
along side guitar, harp & violin makers. At the end of 2 years I graduated
with credits and became a member of the Piano Technicians Guild (GB)
and the Institute of Musical Instrument Technology.
To see my diplomas, click on the Welsh Dragon or click here.
Currently I live in Los Angeles, have approx. 1,500 clients and through the
years have tuned over 14,000 pianos. I find I am always in demand and believe
this is because I take pride in my work and treat every piano, whether it
is a Concert Grand or Spinet with the same care and accuracy. I also specialize
in all styles including Birdcage/Overdampers, Square Grands & Viennese pianos.
The oldest piano I have tuned & worked on was a John Broadwood & Sons
Semi Grand, serial # 10433 which was made in London in 1826 and
was originally on the Queen Mary oceanliner.
Other pianos and instruments I have tuned and worked on include:
Player Pianos, Nickelodeons, Electronic Pianos, Clavinet/Pianets, Autoharps, etc.

clients, click

I also have some excellent referrals if you need a piano teacher, sheet music store,
piano player (entertainer), piano refinisher or piano movers (local or long distance).
Then & Now

The local newspaper did a story on me when I was 19 years old (Wales-GB).
This was one of the pictures they took. Notice the bass strings go straight down on
the piano, that's because its a Birdcage/Overdamper-100 year old European Piano.

Here I am today, 20 years later (Los Angeles, CA). My clients were so pleased
they took a photo and sent me a copy. This is their Chickering Square Grand
made in approx. 1870. Here is the note they sent with the photo.
